EVENTOS DE PROGRESO DEL PROYECTO

KICK OFF EVENT / TPM I

The Kick-off event was held on 16 February 2024 and comprised of a 1-day event in Banská Bystrica, Slovakia. It welcomed more than 44 participants including project partners and external stakeholders from public institutions, civil society, and the education sector (ie. schools/teachers), who were introduced to the 'Service-Learning In Primary Schools' (SLIPS) project and experienced increased awareness and interest in getting involved in the topic.

MIDTERM EVENT / TPM II

The Mid-term project event is planned to take place on 24 January 2025 and will consists of a 1-day event in Granada, Spain. It will welcome at least 25 participants including project partners and external stakeholders. Those previously involved in the kick off meeting, and those involved with the piloting outside of the partnership, will be invited to attend, as this will further the interest generated about the project and strengthen the potential community of practice, which is building and following the project, even without being involved in the concrete project implementation.

FINAL EVENT / TPM III

The Final Project Event will take place at the end of the project and also consist of a 1-day event welcoming a minimum of 25 participants including project partners and external stakeholders in Brussels, Belgium. It will be organised to close the project, inviting relevant stakeholders and interested parties again to ensure the widest possible dissemination of the project successes and best practices.

INFORMATION SESSIONS

From June to October 2024, each partner will host 1-day events in their country, welcoming 40 participants in each (240 in total).

The Information sessions are conducted in order to best generate interest and awareness of the project, as well as to attract potential collaborators and target groups. During the sessions, partners will be sharing the project concepts, benefits, and encouraging uptake of the training opportunity available on the platform.

It will be done to 20 teachers, 5 schools’ principals, 10 CSO or social partners and 5 policy makers, which results in a total of 40 participants in 6 countries.

LOCAL SUSTAINABILITY EVENTS

The SLIPS project will include 6 sustainability events in partner countries: Portugal, Croatia, Slovakia, Spain, Lithuania and Bosnia & Herzegovina. These will be 1-day events hosted by partners in their local contexts with each of them welcoming at least 40 persons to disseminate the project and its outputs towards national and local stakeholders.

The sustainability events will be organised towards the end of the project duration.

COMMUNITY OF PRACTICE

SLIPS will include 5 online Community of Practice (CoP) events contributing to ensuring the sustainability of the project. Each CoP session will host a respective guest for a specific topic and the programme will include multimedia, expert input and discussion space for practitioners.

The community of practice events will serve as a knowledge sharing platform and a networking and building professional relationship with other participants. Each session will provide the guests with the opportunity to offer insights, guidance, background and specialised knowledge, which will serve as an enriching learning experience for all.

LOCAL TEACHER TRAININGS

2-day events hosted by partners and welcoming between 30-200 persons each:

Out of the Box Europe (100 persons)
University of Granada (200 persons)
Vytautas Magnus University (100 persons)
Platform of Volunteer Centres and Organizations (30 persons)
Croatian Volunteer Development Centre (30 persons)
PRONI Center for Youth Development (140 persons)

Two-day teacher training will focus on Service Learning essentials, teaching methodologies for active participation and NFE components in the classroom.

FINAL EVENT

1-day event hosted by CEV in Brussels, Belgium welcoming 60 persons including practitioners and policymakers interested in the topic to initiate a discussion on an international scale. The event will be crucial for the ongoing legacy and sustainability of the project and is expected to function as a catalyst for engaging more than 100 other organisations after the end of the event.
